Vubo Cancellation Policy

At Vubo, we aim to provide a fair and transparent cancellation experience for both renters and partners. This policy protects partner availability while giving renters flexibility when plans change.

Free Cancellation More Than 24 Hours Before Trip Start

Renters may cancel a booking more than 24 hours before the scheduled trip start time and receive a full refund, excluding the Secure Access Fee.

Vubo retains the Secure Access Fee. The remaining trip authorization hold is released back to the renter and typically disappears from their banking statement within 3 to 5 business days depending on their bank.

Cancellations Within 24 Hours of Trip Start

If a renter cancels within 24 hours of the scheduled trip start time:

  • The renter receives a 50% refund of trip charges
  • The partner receives a 50% cancellation payout
  • Vubo retains the Secure Access Fee

After the 50% cancellation charge is processed, the remaining 50% hold on the renter's credit card is automatically released and typically disappears within 3 to 5 business days depending on their bank.

This structure helps compensate partners for last-minute cancellations that prevent rebooking.

Cancellations After Trip Start

Once a trip has started:

  • No refund is issued
  • The partner receives the full trip payout
  • Vubo retains the Secure Access Fee

15-Minute Grace Period

For accidental bookings, renters may cancel within 15 minutes of booking for a full refund, including the Secure Access Fee, provided the trip has not started.

Partner Cancellations

If a partner cancels a confirmed booking:

  • The renter receives a full refund, including the Secure Access Fee
  • The partner receives no payout for that booking
  • Vubo may apply warnings, temporary suspension, or listing review depending on circumstances

Any released card authorization typically disappears from the renter's banking statement within 3 to 5 business days depending on their bank.
